Tthe performances were captured on the highest quality equipment including a Studer/Revox 8-track custom tape recorder; a Neve RNR1 ribbon microphone on alto saxophone; a custom, tube, stereo microphone on piano; and a B&K instrument mic on bass (the bass solo as the final number on the tape is not only superb playing but stunning sound).
