Where technology meets art
Patrick Godon: Selections, July 2017 — Chicago, Illinois
Patrick Godon made his debut as a soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) in May of 2007. Later, in January 2017, he was invited to play principal keyboard on the CSO's exciting European Tour to France, Germany, Denmark, Austria, and Italy. Mr Godon holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from DePaul University. Here, in this outing, he brings his talent and experience to a performance of fascinating and varied modern classical music. From Debussy to Poulenc to Satie, Mr. Godon’s brilliant playing explores every nuance of the chosen compositions. Captured here with near perfect ambient sound in St. Gregory The Great Church in Chicago, and with the finest microphones and recording equipment, the audio quality of this recording is appropriately celestial and a fitting conveyance for a memorable performance.
